Energy infrastructure targeted in the region
Ukraine's energy systems have faced escalating strikes in recent weeks

Throughout the evening, Russian aerial assaults have resulted in power cuts in large parts of the capital city, the Ukrainian capital.

A number of civilians were wounded while local people in eastern neighborhoods were left without electricity and faced problems to water systems, as stated by local authorities.

Simultaneously, a minor was lost their life in a separate aerial attack in the southeastern region in the southern area, based on information from regional authorities.

Moscow has intensified attacks on energy facilities over the past few days, while Ukrainian leadership has demanded "real steps" from allies to exert influence on Russia.

"What is required is not superficial actions but strong steps - from the America, European nations and the G7 - in providing air defence systems and implementing sanctions," mentioned in a social media post.

He said that hundreds of unmanned aircraft and more than 30 rockets struck Ukraine's energy infrastructure, labeling such attacks as "premeditated" and against "essential services" as winter approaches.

The energy minister said Moscow was "inflicting a massive strike" and technical staff were laboring to restore power.

A series of attacks struck power facilities and residential structures in Kyiv.

Several of the people injured in the attacks on the capital have been transported for medical care, per statements from local officials.
