Assassin's Creed Unveils Surprising AoT Event for Holiday Season

In a surprising crossover event that challenges usual expectations, Ubisoft has announced an digital partnership between Assassin's Creed Shadows and the acclaimed anime series Attack on Titan. The unexpected holiday event operates from November 25 through December 22, providing free bonus story content for Shadows players.

Mysterious Adventure Uncovered

According to the authorized announcement, "A mysterious meeting draws characters Naoe and Yasuke into a new quest, where whispers of prohibited practices and terrifying transformations echo through the obscurity." The plot introduces a "strangely attired woman named Ada" who assigns the characters with journeying into the Gemstone Grotto—a key location from Attack on Titan—to rescue her companion from a clandestine group.

The questline focuses on "bizarre trials and a monstrous enemy" and is open to all players who have unlocked the Yasuke character.

Familiar Settings and Metamorphoses

The teaser highlights the Underground Chapel from Attack on Titan reimagined as the Crystal Cave. This significant location was previously where the Reiss royal family handed down the Founding Titan ability through eras. The teaser ends with a striking moment showing a character, likely the prisoner, transforming into a Titan that looms over Naoe and Yasuke.

Special Rewards and Bonus Features

Players who finish the adventure will receive an exclusive katana in addition to several items concealed throughout the area in concealed chests. The update also contains premium Attack on Titan item packs, featuring:
